Dodge Journey - Van in the SUV armor
When it comes to classifying and branding, Journey is a tough nut. At first glance this 4,89m long adventure ready car is SUV. High driver's position only adds to the impression.
However, front wheel drive and variable interior unveils its real nature. Dodge Journey is a van, a van with its own bag of tricks. Apart from a big stash under the co driver's seat, similar storage spaces are found under the back passengers seats as well. Each of the storage spaces can hold a dozen beverage cans, as well as ice.
VW 140bhp diesel engine makes the ride smooth, but the front seats lack side support at fast corners and the steering can give more feedback in the city ride.
Nevertheless, comfort is quite acceptable. But, familiarizing with a ton of switches will take a while.
