Shark Goddess
Manufactured from 1955-1975, Citroen DS, aka Shark (DS stands for French Goddess, but it’s looks set the name Shark) is one of the most stylish cars ever. Bertoni design coupled with innovative technical solutions like hydropneumatic self-leveling suspension system, is what makes it so special.
Even nowadays, after 2 million cars produced and over 30 years after it became a history, it is one of the most valued collectors’ cars.
The highest value so far recorded for a Citroën DS was a silver 1973 DS 23 IE ‘Decapotable,’. This well preserved specimen had mileage of only 100,000 km. It was sold for €176,250 ($251,785) at Christie’s Retromobile in Feb 2006.
