Saab is Swedish car brand known for safety, environment friendly technology and turbocharged engines.
Initially the car branch was only a section of an aero plane company but it has outgrown its mother company.
One of the quirkiness of Saab is the use of number 9 in all of its models.
Saab's car accidents database (accidents involving Saabs) is the most comprehensive in the world (of all auto makers) - first recorded car accident involving a Saab happened in 1948.
Since Saab moved the majority of its production to US, its quality became lower, influencing the hard earned reputation a bit.
